Sylvia Lim and Kevin Chia founded Vivre Activewear, a local athleisure brand in 2014. The brand started off as an online store and entered the retail scene in 2015, with two outlets operating at the prime locations in Singapore to date. The Vivre Activewear team is made up of only 3 independent and hardworking individuals handling most of the tasks on their own. They take pride in having a lean backend team as this allows them to be agile to changes and keep costs at a minimum even during volatile times. They are also working with ethical factories that similarly care for the well-being of their workers, providing them with fair pay, working hours and a conducive working environment. A piece of advice they would like to offer to all aspiring entrepreneurs would be to go for something you are passionate about, and not for the money or freedom based on the success stories of other entrepreneurs.
