Kimberly Tan

Kimberly Tan is an aspiring artist who strives to create distinctive art works under the brand UltraaViolets. UltraaViolets first started as an art Instagram account for Kimberly to post her portfolio of illustrations, which usually includes whimsical illustrations with distinct colours used. She slowly built her brand and even retailed her designs into merchandise at artisanal markets. She also took on various collaborations with artists and brands, which include the notable Spark The Next project by SG Youth Action Plan.

To Kimberly, a successful artist is having your style being recognised as distinctive, and not having to sacrifice artistic integrity to cater to the masses. She also advises aspiring artists and creators to “find inspiration from different sources and mediums”.
