Ashley Yong took the leap of faith when she left her banking job to start on her own skincare brand, Two Halves in 2019, just a few months before the pandemic hit. It took her 2 gruelling years to conceptualise, research and develop before launching so as to ensure their skincare formulations were carefully made with eco-friendly plant based ingredients. Ashley's efforts did not go down the drain, as she managed to create the gender-neutral clean beauty brand she visioned, and even hit milestones of hers in launching Two Halves products on iShopChangi as well as being the first local brand to be sold on Novela. Despite the numerous rejections and hiccups faced, Ashley managed to power through and solve every issue one step at a time. As quoted by her, “by solving every issue one step at a time, it won’t be long till you look back and realise how far you’ve come”.
