Elizabeth Gan

Elizabeth Gan is a ceramic artist and educator who founded the ceramic studio, School of Clay Arts (SOCA).The studio is currently in its 6th year of running, and was built with Elizabeth and her team’s own bare hands — literally. From ripping out the carpets on the floor to moving and making of shelves and stools, it has now become a space she calls her pride and joy. SOCA focuses on being process driven and less product oriented, and is dedicated to developing the craft of pottery that inspires and supports the development of individuals. To Elizabeth, entrepreneurship is the desire to create a better world through products and services, and she believes that this interest and passion of hers in serving others with the values she holds, is the reason why she became an accidental entrepreneur.

Other than running the studio, Elizabeth is also teaching Hatha yoga and meditation during her own free time.
