Chew Jia Tian is the founder of Rough Beauty, a handcrafted bath and body brand that creates products and experiences to inspire mindful daily living. Rough Beauty’s products include artisanal bar soaps and bottled liquid soaps, and the brand only uses natural ingredients for the scents and colours of the products. The brand focuses on sustainability, which can be seen from its production line as the brand reuses donated packaging materials for shipment and produces small batches of soap according to demand to reduce wastage. As quoted by Jia Tian, “great oaks from little acorns grow”, and the founder has definitely seen the brand’s growth as an e-commerce business as it now has a workshop studio where customers are able to make their own soaps and scrubs.
