Meet Joey Lee and Vannessa Lee — the sibling duo who co-founded the fast food-first concept Poke Theory.

A homegrown F&B brand specialising in modern poke bowls, acai bowls, cold pressed juice and healthy snacks, Poke Theory prides itself on serving up food that are fresh, healthy and delicious. As business owners who are always looking for ways to better improve and grow the business, the duo managed to obtain their halal certification and has now expanded to a total of 17 outlets, with 2 operating overseas.

“Planning is important of course,” said the duo when asked to provide advice to aspiring entrepreneurs out there. “But if you know you want to try your hand at a business, don't wait around too much because time isn't going to wait for you. Paralysis by analysis is a real thing, and while you still have youth and energy on your side, sometimes it's best to just steady yourself, and take the plunge.”
