Diving into the world of possibilities is none other than the artisanal handcrafted gelato brand, Moter Folks and its co-founders, Riefa Shikin and Safuan Aswari. The brand started in 2021, where its flavours are mostly inspired by local favourites and is a community-driven place where everyone is able to enjoy some halal certified dessert fix. Riefa believes in creating a community who takes their gelato seriously within the Muslim community, and has expanded the brand by dabbling into physical pop-ups and being involved in the events scene, bringing Motor Folks gelatos live to customers to enjoy. Riefa took the leap of faith by leaving her day job to focus on the F&B business, and build its social media presence with carefully curated content to push the brand’s growth to a higher level. As quoted by Riefa, the best way to start a business is to "don’t think too much and just do it".
